An urgent manhunt is underway after a woman was followed before being sexually assaulted.
Police investigating the incident in Tower Hamlets have released video footage of a man they wish to trace in connection with the incident.
At around 19:40 on February 15, the female victim was walking in the E14 area when she was followed by an unknown male.
The male followed the woman into a building where she was sexually assaulted.
Police say the woman’s screams alerted residents who came to her aid, and the male made off.

Detective Chief Inspector Angela Thompson of the Met’s Central East BCU said: ‘A thorough investigation into this incident is ongoing, however attempts to identify a man seen on CCTV footage around the time of the incident have not yet been successful.
‘As such, I am releasing video footage today and I ask members of the public, in particular those who live or work in the E14 area, to watch carefully to see if they recognise the man shown. If you know who he is, please make contact and share his name with us.’
