During an interview with People two years earlier, the star detailed his journey and motivation to alter his lifestyle completely.

‘But what really hit me was the moment, my youngest daughter Lyric said to me that night, ‘You don’t smell like my daddy.’ And when she said that to me, that was it. Enough said. I felt disgusting,’ he admitted.

He explained during the interview that has family has had a major influence on remaining sober.

‘I’m floating high, naturally. My family has saved my life, God has saved my life, and my recovery has saved my life. Without those three things, I wouldn’t be here.’

Since 2020, AJ has continued to have a healthy and sober lifestyle for his wife, children, and himself.

The singer and dancer has kept up to date with his continuous transformation over the years with his fans and followers.

The tour is set to go on until March 2023. When talking to CNN Entertainment earlier in July, AJ expressed how thrilled he was to be back performing on stage.

‘The rest of the tour is sold out. Europe is sold out. Latin America is sold out,’ he stated.

‘It’s a testament to each other. It’s a testament to our fans, and it’s a testament to the music,’ AJ added. ‘I’m honored to say that I’m a Backstreet Boy, and I’m proud to be a Backstreet Boy in 2022.’
