Billy Crystal, 75, and Robert De Niro have been friends for decades.
During a red carpet interview at the premiere of Crystal’s Yogi Berra movie It Ain’t over, he revealed how he feels about his 79-year-old friend welcoming his seventh child.
‘I was with him two weeks before the baby was born,’ Crystal told People. ‘You know, it’s amazing.’
De Niro welcomed his seventh child with his girlfriend Tiffany Chen, 45.
Crystal added that the couple ‘just love each other, and they want to do this together. I think it’s a beautiful thing. It’s wonderful.’

De Niro revealed he had welcomed his seventh child earlier this week in an interview with ET Canada.
The Taxi Driver actor was promoting his new movie About My Father when the red carpet reporter asked him how his six kids were doing.
‘Seven, actually. I just had a baby,’ he revealed.
De Niro is dad to daughter Drena, 51, and son Raphael, 46 with his first wife Diahnne Abbot and twin sons Julian and Aaron, 27, with his ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith.
He also shared son Elliot, 24, and daughter Helen, 11, with his ex-wife Grace Hightower.
The Goodfellas star commented on being a dad in an interview with Access Hollywood this week.
‘Sometimes I don’t think people really know what being a good father is, you know you have a responsibility, but it’s a mystery, it’s a lot of excitement but scary and you do your best,’ he said.
And just this morning, the Casino actor revealed the name of his newborn.

De Niro shared his feelings on becoming a dad for the seventh time with Extra, saying: ‘I’m ok with it,’ the actor said when he was asked if he was excited. ‘I’m good with it.’ When asked if becoming a parent ever gets easier he quipped, ‘Never gets easier.’
