Accused killer Kaitlin Armstrong told plastic surgeons while she was on the run in Costa Rica that she needed work on her eyes and lips because she had ‘aged significantly’.
Armstrong, 35, who’s accused of shooting Moriah Wilson dead 18 months ago, fled to Costa Rice following the death and sought out a plastic surgeon to have a nose job and a brow lift.
The murder trial in Austin, Texas, heard how the accused killer had set up surgery in the country under the name Allison Paige.
The court heard how Armstrong also asked a surgeon if he could throw in any work underneath her eyes or lips, telling them she had ‘aged significantly’ in recent days.
The jury was shown images of her post operation, with her face bruised around her nose and eyes. The court was also shown receipts earlier today that totaled $6,350 for cosmetic surgery in Costa Rica by a Doctor Jorge Badilla.
In a document read out in court, it was also revealed that Armstrong did not want her surgeon to take photographs of her.

Wilson was shot three times, with prosecutors accusing Armstrong of killing her for contacting Armstrong’s then boyfriend Colin Strickland, who was Wilson’s ex.
Armstrong denies the charges but is yet to provide an alibi. Her Jeep Grand Cherokee was filmed by neighborhood ring cameras arriving and leaving the scene at the time of the murder.
As well as the brow lift and nose job, Armstrong had fillers in her lips and eyes.
Authorities had previously said she had got a nose job and dyed her hair after fleeing the country following the death of Wilson.
In court on Wednesday, we told how Armstrong had been looking into plastic surgery after Wilson was found dead in an apparent attempt to change her appearance and evade capture.
The court had also heard earlier today how she whined at cops that she had been ‘humiliated’ by them after they arrested her over the murder.
‘I would love to leave. You just arrested me in front of my house in front of my neighbors. It was incredibly humiliating,’ Armstrong griped in May 2022 footage played to an Austin courthouse Thursday.

Detective Katy Connor, who interviewed Armstrong in May 2022, also explained how the alleged murderess had asked to end the police interview shortly after.
She was allowed to leave, but was warned by cops that her unwillingness to cooperate could cause future issues.
Detective Connor also told the court that after questioning Armstrong about the murder it raised her suspicions about her involvement.
Armstrong’s black Jeep Grand Cherokee had been spotted driving near the home of Wilson the day she died.
Speaking to the court, Connor said: ‘When I confront her about the vehicle being in the area, she makes no denials.
‘She doesn’t explain why her vehicle is over there. She acknowledges it doesn’t look good. All of it together, raised my suspicion.’
During Thursday’s trial Imir Perez of the US Marshals also told of how he’d tracked Armstrong down to Costa Rica after she’d gone on the run.
He found her with a bandage on her nose, with a receipt for a local plastic surgery clinic for more than $6,000 also uncovered during the probe.

In court on Wednesday, Detective Richard Spitler also testified that Armstrong had been looking into whether pineapple could be used to remove fingerprints.
The Detective also told the court that Armstrong had sold her black Jeep Grand Cherokee less than 48 hours after Wilson was murdered.
Less than 48 hours after the murder, Armstrong sold her black Jeep Grand Cherokee at Carmax in Austin, police testified.
She created a brand-new email account where she received an offer $12,200 from Carmax for the vehicle.
Three days after murder, Armstrong took an Uber to Austin’s airport where she took a Southwest Airlines flight from Austin to New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
Nicole Mertz, who was a close friend of Armstrong, testified that she said she would ‘kill’ another woman if her boyfriend dated them.
Mertz told the court that Armstrong had recently broken up with her boyfriend Colin Strickland and that Moriah Wilson was in the city visiting him in November 2021.
The two had arranged to meet inside a cafe, and Wilson also appeared which according to Mertz made Armstrong ‘pretty angry, like visibly angry’.
Mertz then asked her what she would do if Strickland ever dated anyone, to which the accused responded: ‘I would kill her.’

Mertz later called the police and told them what she knew and tried to contact Armstrong, who had gone radio silent.
She said: ‘I just kind of had a feeling. I remember that comment she made and I knew she was not happy about Colin and Moriah hanging out. I just kind of had a feeling and thought that that was the right thing to do.’
Last week, Strickland told the court he had been apprehensive about entering a long-term relationship with Armstrong.
Armstrong, he said, routinely blocked the phone numbers of other women in his phone behind his back. Wilson was one of them, he said.
On the day of the murder, when he was swimming with Wilson, Strickland told Armstrong he had been to drop off flowers at a friend’s house.
Last week, jurors were played Ring surveillance camera footage from a neighbor in which Wilson could be heard screaming. Three gunshots were heard.

Prosecutors say Armstrong, using a gun Strickland purchased for her, shot Wilson twice in the head and once through the heart.
She is then believed to have fled the apartment on Wilson’s bicycle, which was found dumped in bushes behind her apartment.
Armstrong fled Texas after an initial police interview. She then flew to Costa Rica, where she says she was just teaching yoga.
Eventually, she was arrested in July and brought back to Austin. A few weeks before her trial commenced, she tried to run away again during a visit to a doctor’s office.
In Costa Rica, she was posing as a woman named ‘Ari’ during her stay at Don Jon’s Lodge in the small town of Santa Teresa, which is home to only 3,000 people.
Fellow guests described her as a ‘strange’ loner who would ‘keep to herself,’ despite sleeping in an eight-bunkbed dorm.
