Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones has admitted he cried when hearing that cornerback Rasul Douglas was being traded to the Buffalo Bills

Douglas and a 2024 fifth-round pick were shipped from Green Bay to Buffalo in exchange for a 2024 third-round pick this week.

‘It was a moment I’ve never had,’ Jones said.

‘I’ve never had somebody that close to me get traded… We both started talking and shed a few tears. It’s been a long journey for both of us.

‘When you got somebody on the other side of the ball who is a mirror of you, who believes in the same things, same work ethic, you know what you’re gonna get out of them. It’s tough losing a brother like that.’

Throughout seven games this season Douglas has recorded 32 tackles, an interception, and a fumble recovery.

He had been a starter in each of his seven appearances.

Jones on the other hand has appeared in only four games this year due to hamstring issues and has recorded 123 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.

He has also hauled in 10 passes for 121 yards.

The 28-year-old RB will have to put his emotions aside when he and the Packers faceoff against the traveling Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Douglas on the other hand will face off against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, although it remains to be seen if he will make his Bills debut.
