Viewers blasted Cassandra Mamone for labelling Jessica Brody a ‘tattooed stripper’ on Bachelor in Paradise last week.

However, Jessica has now revealed that the remarks didn’t have the negative effect on her that Cassandra had hoped, explaining that she actually took it as a compliment because she would ‘love to be a tattooed stripper’.

Speaking to Popsugar, the reality star also unleashed on Cassandra for commenting on her weight loss, and explained that her weight fluctuation was actually the result of her battle with anxiety.

Cassandra shocked audiences earlier in the season when she told another contestant, Janey Birks, that Jessica was a ‘tattooed stripper’.

Jessica previously worked as a barmaid at Melbourne’s Centrefold Lounge, which is described as ‘Australia’s number one strip club’.

Responding to the comment, Jessica said: ‘I mean, I am tattooed, and I don’t see either of those things as a bad thing. If she wants to call me a “tattooed stripper”, then that’s great. I’d love to be a tattooed stripper.

‘I’m not, but I’d love to be one, so why not [call me that]? Who cares?’

Jessica appeared to be more upset by Cassandra’s comments about her having lost weight since they both appeared on The Bachelor last year.

She explained that her weight has fluctuated by 20 kilos throughout her life as a result of her anxiety.

‘You know, you don’t go up to people and go, “Oh, you’ve gained weight.” It’s the same with talking about weight loss. You can say, “Oh, you look great,” without saying anything about a number on a scale,’ she said.

Jessica explained that she has since spoken to Cassandra about the ‘gravity of her words’ and hopes she won’t make similar offensive comments in the future.

Bachelor in Paradise continues Tuesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10
