Asghari was said to have believed the rumors Spears was unfaithful, with the pair having a ‘huge fight’ and Asghari moving out of their home and now living in a place of his own.

Split: Spears and her husband initially met while working on a music video in 2016, and they became engaged in 2021 (pictured 2019)
A source told TMZ, who were first to report the split: ‘It’s only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce.’
The split reveal comes just three days after Spears posted a concerning and raunchy video with her Instagram fans after buying a new stripper pole.
The Toxic singer, who regularly wears revealing bikinis on social media, showed off her pole skills while Nine Inch Nails’ X-rated song Closer played in the background.
The track, written by Trent Reznor and featured on the 1994 album The Downward Spiral, has been described by fans as a meditation on self-hatred and obsession.
Lyrics to the controversial song include the infamous line, ‘I want to f*** you like an animal.’
‘Got this pole two days ago and last night was my first time on it,’ the star captioned the post adding three shrugging emojis and three red rose emojis.
Back in June Asghari shared a series of loved up posts marking the couple’s first wedding anniversary and branding Britney his ‘better half.’
He also shared a montage of their June 9 2022 wedding day, calling the star ‘the woman of my dreams.’
Sam and Britney’s June 2022 nuptials was a lavish affair held at the superstar’s home in Thousand Oaks.

It was attended by a slew of A-list stars, such as Paris Hilton, Madonna, Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore.
Britney’s estranged family – including her controversial parents Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears – were reportedly uninvited.
Spears and Asghari signed an ‘iron-clad’ prenuptial agreement before their wedding.
The pop superstar and the actor both have their wealth protected under the agreement.
Under the document’s conditions, Sam wouldn’t get a cent of any of the tens of millions that Britney earned prior to tying the knot.
It was reportedly Britney’s team that got the ball rolling on the prenuptial agreement shortly after Sam proposed to her.
It’s unclear if Sam would be able to take a portion of any money his wife earns while they’re married.
What happened? Just two months ago Sam branded Britney the ‘woman of my dreams’ as he marked their first and only wedding anniversary
As of 2021, the hitmaker had a net worth of around $60 million, according to the New York Times.
An insider previously claimed to the New Yorker that Spears previously had a multi-million dollar fortune in the early 2000s, but it had been whittled down to only ‘a few million dollars’ when her conservatorship was established in 2008.
The arrangement doled out a $2,000-per-week allowance for the songstress, but her father paid himself around $16,000 per month to run the conservatorship, and her former court-appoint attorney Samuel Ingham III was paid a yearly salary of $520,000, according to the New Yorker.
The marriage came shortly after the pair endured a heartbreaking miscarriage with their first child together.
The singer first announced that she was expecting in April 2022 in a social media post saying she had thought she gained a food baby while on vacation but took a test and it turned out she was pregnant.
A short while later, the couple announced in a joint statement that they had experienced a pregnancy loss.
‘It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy,’ the couple said Saturday. ‘This is a devastating time for any parent.
‘Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news. Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult time.’

The baby news came after months of emotional turmoil for Spears who was finally released from her conservatorship after 13 years and a long fought battle.
‘We’re positive about it. It’s something that happens to a lot of people,’ Sam reflected to GQ. ‘And one beautiful thing that I heard was when the baby’s ready, it’ll come. So that was a beautiful thing somebody had said was, it’s a common process and the female body is just so amazing, and just the human body in general is so beautiful that it heals itself. And that when the baby’s ready it’ll be the right time.’
The burgeoning actor also said that he had always wanted to be a ‘young father’ and that children were the ‘next step’ calling procreation ‘the joy of life.’
Britney shocked her fans when she testified in June 2021 that her conservatorship, which was put in place in 2008, prevented her from getting married or even having another child.
‘I want to be able to get married and have a baby,’ she said during a conservatorship hearing in 2021.
‘I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby, I have an IUD inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant.’
Spears and her husband initially met while working on the Slumber Party music video in 2016.
The songstress selected Sam herself for the role after his photos were sent to her.

‘Been with me through the hardest years’: Back in 2021 Britney attempted to get Asghari noticed by Fast and the Furious casting directors as she sang his praises in an Instagram post
‘It was a direct book,’ Sam recalled to ET Online. ‘A good friend of mine was working on the music video at the time. They told the casting director to cast this guy and then they sent my pictures to [Britney] and she picked it. “I want this guy” – and so that’s how it was.’
Soon after, Britney was calling him to grab sushi.
‘We talked at the music video [and] we talked about what do you like to eat, sushi,’ he recounted. ‘…Then text messages and next thing you know, just like a normal couple.’
Since appearing in Britney’s video, the aspiring actor has racked up a number of credits, most recently appearing in the HBO Max series Hacks and Showtime’s Black Monday.
They became engaged in 2021.
The performer was previously married to Jason Alexander in 2004, although their marriage was annulled within 55 hours.
The singer went on to tie the knot with Kevin Federline in 2004, and they welcomed a pair of boys named Sean and Jayden, aged 17 and 16, during her second marriage, which ended in 2007.
Kevin notably has full custody over their two boys and made the decision to move the family from Los Angeles to Hawaii recently.
It’s thought that Kevin encouraged his sons to see their mother before they leave, but isn’t forcing them.
Sources also claimed Kevin is relieved Britney hasn’t fought against the move in court, feeling she’s done the right thing by allowing her boys to relocate. MailOnline contacted representatives for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline for comment at the time.
Kevin’s plans to move his sons to Hawaii first came to light in May, and a source told DailyMail.com at the time that Britney has always supported the move.

Earlier this year it was speculated that the singer and her husband had hit a rough patch in their relationship and were looking to end their marriage.
The rumors were further fueled after Asghari was spotted without his wedding ring.
However, the actor denied that he had split up from his wife in March and his representative provided a statement to Entertainment Tonight to refute the claims.
The rep told the media outlet that ‘Sam is not having marital issues. He simply took off his ring because he is filming a movie.’
An insider close to the couple also said in March that all was well between the pair – despite them being spotted without the rings.
‘All is good,’ the source dished to DailyMail.com, adding: ‘Sam is working on a project and she is on a vacation with Cade.’
The previous month Spears had lashed out over claims her loved ones tried to stage an intervention amid fears she ‘might die,’ while her husband Asghari insisted the singer ‘will make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstance’.
The Grammy-winning singer denied reports her family and friends reportedly planned an intervention due to concerns ‘she would die’ over escalating substance abuse and mental health issues.
Back then: Earlier this year it was speculated that the singer and her husband had hit a rough patch in their relationship and were looking to end their marriage (pictured 2017)
‘It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died … I mean at some point enough is enough!!!’ she said in an Instagram post.
The Toxic artist said she’s ‘probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though [she enjoys] doing it, there’s obviously a lot of people who don’t wish [her] well!!!’
Those close to Spears became alarmed by her ‘erratic’ and ‘volatile’ behavior due to taking medications that ‘hype her up’ and cause her to ‘fly off the handle’ regularly,’ TMZ reported.
The Oops!… I Did It Again vocalist said she was ‘honestly not surprised at all’ at the reports, though she’s ‘doing the best’ she can.
The …Baby One More Time performer noted that the conservatorship ran by her father Jamie was shuttered in late 2021, giving her newfound independence amid previously difficult circumstances.
She said: ‘Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year … No folks, it’s not 2007 … it’s 2023 and I’m making my first homemade lasagna at home’ and ‘finally got my fireplace to work in my living room.’
Romance: The former couple looked loved-up as they attended the 2019 Daytime Beauty Awards
Spears quoted her husband Asghari in saying, ‘As my hubby says it best: don’t believe everything you read !!! All that love right back at ya !!!’
The post was accompanied by black text against a pink background that read: ‘A state of gratitude will shift you to a higher frequency.’
The Womanizer songstress spoke out after Asghari issued a statement to Access Hollywood’s Mario Lopez denying that any sort of intervention took place.
‘An intervention did not occur,’ the actor/fitness pro said. ‘My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances. Speculation on her health is inappropriate and should end immediately.’
The pop icon was rumored to have not taken her mood stabilization medication as of recently – leading her inner circle to rent a house in LA for ‘several months’ without Britney’s knowledge for an intervention. One source told the publication: ‘I’m afraid she’s gonna die.’
In May the pair’s marriage was reported to be in ‘deep trouble’ with TMZ claiming that Britney has ‘got physical’ with Sam as marital tensions have boiled over.
They also report that they have had frequent ‘screaming matches’, with security having to step in at times.
Ahead of the publication’s documentary about Britney they further claimed that Sam rarely stays at their home together anymore.
Representatives for Sam and Britney were contacted for further comment at the time.
Last month Asghari took to social media to defend his wife after she was involved in a fracas with NBA star Victor Wembanyama’s security detail.
The couple were heading for dinner at Las Vegas‘ ARIA Resort & Casino’s Catch restaurant when they spotted Victor, 19, after which it was alleged that his security guard slapped the Toxic singer.
Furious: Last month Asghari took to social media to defend his wife after she was involved in a fracas with NBA star Victor Wembanyama’s security detail
Victor then went on to claim she ‘grabbed him’, although in a statement since, Britney defiantly stated that she ‘simply tapped him on the shoulder’.
As the varying version of events continue to spread, her model husband, 29, took to Instagram to share his own take, writing: I am opposed to violence in any form…
‘Especially without justification in the defense of yourself or someone else who is unable to defend themselves. Self-defense can be unavoidable…
‘But the defense of any woman, especially my wife is not debatable. I consider my reaction subdued considering what occurred, and I hope the man in question learns a lesson and changes his disregard for women. Thank you for the support’.
Before Sam posted his statement, Britney staunchly defied the claim that she grabbed him from behind before the guard allegedly slapped her in the face.
She added on Instagram that the force of the hit – allegedly by Damian Smith – ‘nearly knocked me down’ and that she ‘was not prepared’ for it.
Spears said: ‘I simply tapped him on the shoulder. His security then back handed me in the face without looking back, in front of a crowd. Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses off my face.’
