A woman is being questioned by police after a man was allegedly stabbed and a house was set on fire in Brisbane‘s northern suburbs.
Emergency crews were called to a home on Inglis St, Grange shortly after 5am on Thursday after neighbours heard screams
They arrived to found the property alight and an injured man suffering stab wounds to his chest.
He was rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical injuries and is now fighting for life.

A woman and two children managed to escape the home uninjured.
Firefighters extinguished the ‘small’ fire a short time later, according to police.
A woman known to the man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, which is believed to be domestic violence related.
Detectives have set up a crime scene at the home, which remains cordoned off as forensic officers scoured for evidence.

Shocked neighbours said the man and woman had been living there for a while.
‘There’s a young man who seems to work hard. He doesn’t seem [like] anything awful so he seems like a really nice guy. I hope everyone is okay,’ one woman told Nine News
‘Nothing happens in this street. It’s a very quiet street so to wake up with all these lights and sirens, it’s a big thing.’
