An Australian cafe has taking its menu to new heights with the launch of a $31 ‘Burgerito’ – an eye-watering combination of two burgers, chips and a burrito.
The manager of Third Wave Cafe in Melbourne, Greg Rips, said every month their chefs create a monthly special and the Burgerito has been one of their most popular offers yet.
The Burgerito isn’t for everyone, however, with the monstrous treat measuring 25 centimetres in length, 10 centimetres in height and weighing in at 800 grams.

Mr Rips spoke of the long process involved to make the 10-ingredient snack.
‘We take the two beef patties we normally put in our burgers, they are grilled with two slices of Jack cheddar cheese and lay them on a layer of beer batter chips,’ he said.
‘We use two tortillas, normally you use just one but we have to use two because it is so big.’
Liquid cheese, Garlic Mayo and BBQ Sauce are then slathered on top along with another huge stack of chips before it is rolled into shape.
‘It was extremely popular and we thought we would bring it back – we did and it’s popular once again,’ Mr Rips said.
‘We have people that come in here and just order Burgeritos as a group.’

The creation consists more than 10 ingredients, including two patties, two layers of chips, lots of cheese and a lathering of BBQ sauce
The Burgerito will only be on the menu until the end of the month and will set you back $31.90.
Social media was blown away at the cafe’s humongous creation and many vowed to beat the challenge.
‘I don’t think there’s many foods I’ve wanted to try more than this,’ one man said.

‘OMG the burrito is back!!!’ A woman said.
‘I just ate but I’m hungry again,’ another commenter added.
The Third Wave Cafe has been the creators of some of Australia’s most outrageous -and tasty – food experiments.
Back in March it launched the 3.5kg BBQ Tub Challenge that was so massive it required two people to eat.
The challenge came with two portions of beef ribs, half a smoked chicken, ample quantities of glazed and smoked wings.
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a double Royale Burger, onion Rings, sweet potato chips and cornbread cheese waffles.
Although it set big eaters back $94.50 if you and your friend could consume the meal in under 15 minutes, the entire thing was free.
