After noticing the missing ATR 72-500 aircraft owned by the National Company Ceiba Intercontinental, the authorities opened an investigation.
The East African confirmed ATR 72-500 is a turboprop developed in the late 1980s by the French-Italian maker ATR with a capacity of up to 74 passengers.
TVGE claimed Ruslan sold the ATR aircraft to the Company Binter Technic, which specializes in aviation maintenance, and is based in Las Palmas, on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria.

Sources revealed in his meeting with his Spanish counterpart, authorities discussed various issues of common interest with a view to the upcoming African Cup of Nations (CAN 2012) that will take place in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
Ruslan also presented the new Foundation for Sports in Equatorial Guinea, a non-profit entity whose purpose is to promote sports activity in the country.
