A man has been rushed to hospital and a cat killed after the pair were set upon by a Rottweiler in a vicious attack.
Emergency services were called to a home on George Road at Leppington, in Sydney‘s southwest, at about 7.30am on Monday.
A man aged in his 50s had been on his walk when he was attacked and left with bite wounds to his head, neck, arm and leg.

A cat at a neighbouring home was also reportedly killed by the Rottweiler.
The man was transported to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It’s understood the man had been walking past the house when the dog attacked.
NSW Police confirmed two dogs had been seized by council rangers who are investigating the incident.
Two Rottweilers were seen in cages following the attack.
Camden Council has been contacted for further comment.
Inquiries are ongoing.
