Dozens of vehicles have been set on fire after an out of control semi-truck crashed into the side of a Ford dealership in Utah.
The semi-truck ran into several other vehicles being causing a massive explosion in Tooele on Friday afternoon, southwest of Salt Lake City.
One commenter on Facebook described the scene as ‘carnage’ and told how the tractor trailer lost its brakes causing it to slam into multiple cars before smashing into the car dealership.
Cpl. Colbey Bentley with the Tooele City Police Department said there were a number of injuries.

A semi-truck ran into several other vehicles and caught fire in Tooele on Friday afternoon, southwest of Salt Lake City

The crash produced thick columns of black smoke and flames reaching heights of at least 30ft
‘We’re currently handling a situation involving multiple vehicle accidents and a semi-truck crashing into the Tooele Auto Mall,’ the police said in a statement.
The semitruck went through the front of the Tooele Motor Company building, starting a fire on the structure’s east side.
The truck also hit several vehicles as it careered into the side of the building.
Thick plumes of black smoke together with flames at least 30 feet high could be seen shooting up into the sky.
One woman was airlifted to hospital at the scene as was reported to be in critical condition.

Photos taken at the scene show several burned out cars at the scene with a number of others overturned with smashed out windows.
Many of the vehicles involved were destroyed beyond recognition with debris strewn across the road.
Following the crash, the fire spread to the Tooele Auto Mall, while Main Street in the small city of 36,000 people has also been closed off.
