New images of a man who was allegedly bashed at a graveyard have been shared on social media, with claims this isn’t the first time he’s been attacked.
Police were called to Bushmead St and Mylor St near Nerang Cemetery at 1.30pm on Thursday to reports of an altercation between five males.
A woman, who said she was the victim’s sister, posted a photo of the man battered, bruised and on life support at Gold Coast University Hospital.
‘That’s my brother on life support,’ the woman wrote on Facebook.

‘These guys have been picking on him for years. 4 on one.’
‘My brother has brain damage from an accident 30 years ago. These pieces of s*** like to pick on a person with a brain injury and in a pack like a bunch of mongrel dogs,’ she continued.
‘Our family feels like it’s deja vu going through this again.’
The victim’s sister responded to well wishers in the comments, writing ‘this is the second time of (sic) seeing my brother in this condition… Only this time it’s (sic) happen[ed] because of week (sic) individuals that think their (sic) humans.’

Two men were allegedly assaulted during the incident.
The man in his 40s sustained serious head injuries and was transported to hospital in a critical condition, a spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed.
A man in his 50s who sustained head injuries is in a stable condition.
A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed no complaint has been made at this time.
Further investigations are underway.
