Lily Collins overcame a severe eating disorder and Bulimia. In an interview, the beautiful lady said she never thought she would be posing in a bikini. “it’s the polar opposite for me,” Collins added.
Lily posed in a swimsuit for the Shape magazine’s cover. The Emily in Paris star kept her struggle with anorexia and bulimia secret from her family and friend for several years.
In the same interview, Collins said that her perspective on other people’s view of her was based on the disorder being secret. But the more open she became about it, the more she could be herself, she continued.
While she knew she needed to open up about her hardship, Collins considered that talking about it would overshadow her accomplishments as an Actress.
Thankfully, the Rules Don’t Apply Actress realized that there is nothing to be ashamed of struggling for. Lily confidently stated, “having battled an eating disorder doesn’t define her, and she isn’t ashamed of her past.”

Lily Collins Blamed Her Father Divorce For Her Struggles
As reported by Daily Mail, Lily Collins blamed her Father, Phil Collins, for her illness.
Lily is the daughter of the English musician Phil Collins and his second wife.
The 33-year-old revealed that it was her dad’s divorce from his third wife, Orianne Cebey, which triggered her eating disorder and Bulimia. She disclosed in her book that she felt out of control and could not handle the pain and confusion surrounding her parents’ separation.
Ms. Collins further explained that she had difficulty balancing being a teenager while pursuing two different grown-up careers. Although she chose both careers by herself, she was focused more on how she looked.
After that, she started starving, abusing diet pills, exercising obsessively, and taking laxatives. All those disorders continued into her twenties.
