The University of Arkansas’ football team poked fun at Florida‘s after the Razorbacks beat the Gators in Gainesville for the first time in school history.
KJ Jefferson connected with Tyrone Broden for a 4-yard score in overtime that lifted the away team to a 39-36 victory on Saturday, ending a six-game skid and giving it its first win in the Swamp in six tries.
What’s more, is that the Razorbacks (3-6, 1-5 Southeastern Conference) ended Florida’s six-game winning streak at home and may have knocked the Gators (5-4, 3-3) out of bowl contention in embattled coach Billy Napier’s second season.
After the outcome of Saturday’s game, Arkansas made sure to let their SEC rivals know that beating them meant the world to its players and fans by sharing a picture of a man in combat shorts with a razorbacks head, kicking an alligator’s head with black army boots on X, formerly known as Twitter.
‘Won’t back down,’ Arkansas’ football team shared as a caption to its tweet.
