The 20-year-old golfer attended Medina High School in her hometown.
The golfer will be making her U.S. Women’s Open debut this week. The Medina native won back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019 and currently competes for the University of Southern Florida, where Green led her team in scoring average in the previous season.
Two-time New York State high school individual champion, Melanie had previously qualified for the U.S. Women’s Amateur in 2019, and also the 2018 U.S. Girl’s Junior.
