Who are Tommy Schaefer Parents? Tommy Schaefer, a convicted criminal, was found guilty of the murder of Sheila Von Wiese, the mother of his former girlfriend.
In August 2014, while on a vacation in Bali, Indonesia, Tommy, along with his then-girlfriend Heather Mack, committed the murder of Sheila Von Wiese.
The media extensively covered the case due to the disturbing nature of the crime, as Schaefer and Mack went on to place Von Wiese-Mack’s body in a suitcase.
Tommy Schaefer remains incarcerated in Indonesia, serving an 18-year prison sentence. Meanwhile, Heather Mack served seven years in prison for her involvement in the crime.
Mack was released from prison on October 29, 2021, after serving 34 months of her sentence, including a six-month remission granted by President Joko Widodo in August 2021 in observance of Independence Day.
Mack expressed a belief that Indonesia was safer than her hometown of Chicago and decided to stay in the country with her daughter.

Because of Indonesia’s jus sanguinis nationality legislation and the fact that her daughter was born in America, Indonesian immigration suggested that both would be deported right away.
Heather was detained upon entering the country on suspicion of obstruction and conspiracy.

Kia Walker is the known mother of Tommy Schaefer, while the public remains unaware of the identity of Schaefer’s father.
Based on the fact that Tommy did not adopt his mother’s last name (Walker), it can be inferred that his paternal family name is Schaefer.
Tommy, who was born in 1995, is currently 28 years old as of 2023. He was raised in Forest Park, Indonesia, where he spent the majority of his childhood.
Not much is known about the professional lives of Tommy’s parents, as the details surrounding their occupations remain a mystery. Apart from his mother’s identity, limited information is available regarding the parents of the convicted murderer.

Tommy was perceived as a vulnerable young teen who tended to go toward the more safe houses of friends and acquaintances.
Throughout middle school and high school, Schaefer was a friend of a young woman whose mother claimed he was a terrible influence.
The mother remarked, “He was always into the theatre. Several times, “I caught him lying to my face.” Schaefer’s mother, Kia Walker, now lives a complicated life in Forest Park.

The Battle Over Custody Of GrandDaughter By Tommy Schaefer’s Mother, Kia Walker, In 2021
Stella Schaefer, the daughter of Heather Mack and Tommy Schaefer, was born just a few weeks before her parents, Heather Mack and Tommy Schaefer, were found guilty of killing Sheila Von Wiese Mack in Bali in 2014.
The now seven-year-old, who was first nurtured in prison and is now living with a foster mother in Indonesia, has only ever communicated with her paternal grandma via a screen.
A judge granted interim custody of the little child to a third party because Schaefer was still serving his sentence in Indonesia when Schaefer was back in jail and behind bars in the United States.
Walker also filed a lawsuit to get guardianship and visitation rights.
“My viewpoint was irrelevant. Additionally, her father’s viewpoint was irrelevant. That was a challenging insight,” according to Tommy’s mother.
Kia further added, “She isn’t in my custody. And I’m powerless. No command. I am limited to what is provided to me.”
Walker’s counsel asserted that Walker was entirely within her rights to do so, even though Mack’s attorney has pledged to oppose any move to place the six-year-old with her grandma.
