Last night’s gunman is Anthony McRae, a 43-year-old religious fanatic who posted online about schizophrenia and Satan.

He killed himself before police could arrest him for shooting dead three students and injuring another five in a senseless attack on the school.

Among those who managed to escape him were children who are still traumatized from having to flee Ethan Crumbley, the Oxford High School gunman who killed four of his classmates in November 2021.

Two of those kids’ mothers spoke out last night to tell of their sustained trauma.

‘She said that she had PTSD. She said she can’t believe this is happening again.

‘She’s in the heart of it and can’t get out.

‘She said, “Mom I just want to come home, I want to hold you,”‘ Jennifer Mancini, whose daughter did not want to be named, told The Detroit Free Press.

Andrea Ferguson’s daughter was also on campus when McRae opened fire.

‘I never expected in my lifetime to have to experience two school shootings.

‘There’s several kids there that our daughter’s friends with that are going through the same thing,’ she told Click2Detroit.

One student was seen standing in the street wearing an Oxford Strong sweatshirt last night. He didn’t attend Oxford, but said he bought it out of support for the kids, who were from the same area.

Another student posted on TikTok about surviving Sandy Hook ten years ago.

‘I am 21 years old and this is the second mass shooting I have now lived through 10 years and two months ago I survived the Sandy Hook shooting.

‘I was hunched in the corner with my classmates for so long that I got a PTSD fracture in my back,’ the student, who goes by Jmattttt on TikTok said.

‘The fact this is now the second shooting I have lived through is incomprehensible.

‘We can no longer just provide love and prayers. It needs to be legislation, it needs to be action. It’s not OK,’ she said.

At a press conference this morning, Michigan officials raged over the fact that they were giving an update on the second mass shooting on a campus in less than two years.

Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin fumed at having to take the podium again so soon after the Oxford tragedy, where four students were killed.

‘I cannot believe I am here again doing this 15 months later. I am filled with rage that we have to have another press conference about our children being killed in schools,’ she fumed.

Earlier, Governor Gretchen Whitmer said: ‘We cannot keep living like this.’

It remains unclear how McRae – who has a 2019 arrest for having a loaded gun in a car – obtained the weapon he used in last night’s attack, or even what kind of weapon it was.

Crumbley, who is facing life in prison, obtained his fun through his father.
