Victoria Ekanoye was diagnosed with breast cancer, as announced on November 8, 2021. She had, however, discovered a lump back in October.

Ekanoye recently appeared on Loose Women on Wednesday, Feb 9, 2022. There she talked about her journey to recovery.

The actress told that she is the fifth person in her family to have had breast cancer. She had a double mastectomy after finding the deadly lump.

Victoria Ekanoye Admits Breastfeeding Her Baby Son Saved Her Life

Victoria Ekanoye has revealed that breastfeeding her son, Theo has helped her save her life.

According to The Sun, she explained:  “I cried. I knew I would have to tell people I love and care about. I hate worrying about them.”

“Breastfeeding saved me. I may not have detected it otherwise.”

She further told: “When they told me it was very treatable and potentially surgery would be curative, there was no option but the double mastectomy.”

In the picture, she wrote:  “Join me and the @LooseWomen panel in just a few minutes at 1 pm where I’ll be discussing my double mastectomy surgery and the recovery process following my breast cancer diagnosis last year.”
