Authorities announced late Monday afternoon that escaped Alabama inmate Casey White and corrections officer Vicky White were apprehended after a chase in Indiana. Vicky White is in the hospital after shooting herself.
Officials stated the fugitives were apprehended after a U.S. Marshals task force member rammed a car into Vicky White’s Cadillac in Evansville, ending the pair’s week and a half on the run.

He told reporters that she is in “very serious shape.”

The pair had fled Alabama in an SUV abandoned in Williamson County, Tennessee.
U.S. Marshals stated on Monday that investigators were in Evansville, Indiana, following up on a tip after the pair’s pickup truck was discovered abandoned at a car wash on May 3. The vehicle was reported to the police on Sunday.
