Dr. ABC was born on the 2nd of October 1960 in Calabar Cross River State by Late Mrs. Rebecca and Chief Daniel Obiesie Orjiakor. His parents are from Umuchima, Uli Anambra state which makes him an indigene of Anambra.
After his primary education in Uli, he proceeded to Uli high school where he had his secondary education between 1972 and 1978. While in secondary school, he majored in Sciences and passed out with Grade 1. Since he was an exceptionally brilliant student gaining admission into the University of Calabar (UNICAL) to study Medicine and Surgery was quite easy. In 1985, he graduated from UNICAL as a qualified medical doctor – orthopedic and trauma surgeon. He was the best graduating student on his set.
He started building his leadership skills during his days as an undergraduate when he held the positions of African Regional Director of the International Federation of Medical Students and Chairman, Standing Committee on Education of the Medical Students Associations.
After graduating from the university as a qualified medical doctor, DR. ABC Orjiakor proceeded with his specialty training at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital(LUTH) and National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi Lagos.
He worked in LUTH for many years before he became a Senior Registrar at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos. Years of hard work paid off for him as he became a Fellow of The West African College of Medicine and the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College 10 years later. He’s specialized in orthopedic surgery and trauma management, After practicing as a Specialist and Trauma Surgeon for years. However, he has delved fully into the business world now although started in 1996. His investment industry includes but is not limited to, Nigerian Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical, Shipping, banking, and insurance. His strong financial strength growth in the business world is widely associated with his firm ties with the then military bigwigs, former President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida.
