With gyms closed due to COVID-19, many have put their fitness goals aside to assume a sedentary lockdown lifestyle.
But actor Ray Liotta proved to be an outlier on Saturday afternoon when he was spotted engaging in a rigorous, socially-distanced workout at Gold’s Gym in Venice.
The 65-year-old Goodfellas star donned all black, while being pushed to the limit by his personal trainer in the gym’s vast parking lot.

He rounded out his athletic ensemble by slipping his feet into a pair of grey and black Nike sneakers.
Liotta’s trainer attempted to advance Ray’s flexibility by having him lift his legs over a wooden stool.
With his arms out to his sides for balance, Ray expertly waved his leg over the stool in an arch shape before planting his foot back on the ground.
He repeated the movement several times with each leg before moving on to the next portion of his workout.

Ray then found himself on a wooden balance board, which helps to improve posture and strengthens the core.
The Marriage Story actor’s face was stoic as he focused on his breathing and kept his knees slightly bent.
He appeared to be working up a major sweat and even sported a noticeable flush.

Los Angeles gyms have been ordered to shut down amid the devastating coronavirus pandemic, however Gold’s Gym – which was started by Joe Gold in 1965, when he opened his Venice location – does have an outside area.
The gym has long been frequented by Arnold Schwarzenegger and was one of the locations for his landmark documentary Pumping Iron.
Ray visited the gym’s Venice location earlier in the month to pump iron with his trainer.

The former couple divorced in 2004 and share a 21-year-old daughter Karsen Liotta.
