Caroline Watt is a well-known Scottish psychologist and parapsychology professor. She also holds the University of Edinburgh’s Koestler Chair of Parapsychology.

Watt is the former president of the Parapsychological Association, a professional society for parapsychologists formed in 1957. She has also published several papers and books on parapsychology.

She also operates an online course that contributes to educating the public about the meaning of parapsychology and further educates them to think critically about paranormal claims.

Watt graduated with a MA in psychology from the University of St Andrews in 1984. She is the founding member of the University of Edinburgh’s Koestler Parapsychology Unit, for which she was hired in 1986 as a research assistant.

She continued her studies and earned a Ph.D. in psychology in 1993, supervised by Robert L. Morris, an American psychologist, parapsychologist, and professor at the University of Edinburgh.

Born in Perthshire, Scotland, in 1962, Caroline Watt is 59-60 years old as of 2022. The Scottish psychologist is currently highlighted following her recent contribution to society, and people admire her work.

Caroline served at the Koestler Parapsychology unit as a researcher until 2006, when she was recruited as a senior lecturer in psychology at the University of Edinburgh.

She has also worked as a Perrot-Warrick Senior Researcher since 2010, and in 2016, she carried up the new position of second Koestler Chair of Parapsychology at the University.

She coauthored the 5th edition of “An Introduction to Parapsychology,” published in 2017, which was the year 2010 most regularly adopted text by those presenting academic courses on parapsychology.

Watt authored another book in 2016, titled “Parapsychology: A Beginner’s Guide.”
