ABC Tomorrow Tonight host Jamila Rizvi was diagnosed with a brain tumor that affects one in a million. The host underwent a harsh 7-hour surgery to vacate the lump from her head in January 2018.

Speaking to Stellar magazine, Jamila opened up about her terrifying trauma after her remarkable recovery. She thought she was expecting a baby and bought a pregnancy test kit but was shortly diagnosed with a rare brain tumor.

Before being aware of the illness, Rizvi stated her GP had guessed her period was being affected by stress, but she was sent to get an ultrasound and blood tests to be sure.
