Elizabeth Rawlins was born in Georgia and raised there, and she spent her childhood watching WSB-TV in Atlanta. In 2012, she was allowed to intern at Channel 2 in the news and investigative department of the station.
She attended Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Georgia, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication. She also has a minor in Political Science. In addition, she holds a Master of Education degree, which she received from the University of Georgia.
