Galina Lukashenko is known as the wife of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, and she assumed the first lady role on July 20, 1994. Galina met her future husband, Alexander, while she was in a high school located in the village of Ryzhkovichi.

She went to pursue her studies at Mogilev State University, and after completion of her studies, she got married to Alexander in 1975.

Galina was a kindergarten teacher before joining the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee for Population Improvement in 1998. She did not accompany her husband to the White House at the start of his presidency, but instead resided in Shklow.

Except when Alexander is on a state visit to Israel, Galina and Alexander are rarely seen together in public. Despite the fact that they are still legally married, they have not lived or been seen together in over three decades.
