At least 14 people were injured after a bus crashed into a restaurant in Long Beach, California

The Long Beach Fire Department responded to calls of the accident at Boujie Crab restaurant around 3:17 p.m. Thursday, reported KTLA.

Fire officials said five people were taken to the hospital in unknown condition, and nine people suffered minor injuries.

Images show a smashed silver car in-between the damaged building and public transit bus.

It is unclear what happened at the time of the crash, but the front end of the bus is completely destroyed.

Fire department officials responded to the accident Thursday afternoon. It is unclear how the collision occurred 

Long Beach police said South Street between Myrtle Avenue and Lewis Avenue is closed while they investigate the crash.

According to the restaurants Instagram account, the place is closed on Thursdays.

The Boujie Crab offers Southern cuisine with an emphasis on Cajun herbs and spices.
