Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence celebrated his second wedding anniversary on Monday, with his wife reflecting on their life together in an emotional Instagram post.
The couple appeared to be celebrating on the beach, although they didn’t specify where exactly they had gone for a romantic getaway, with Marissa taking to social media to write about her happiness.
‘2 years with the love of my life. Happy anniversary Trev,’ Marissa wrote. ‘Your love is the greatest gift I could ask for.
‘It is patient, kind, considerate, understanding, silly, selfless, graceful.. I can go on and on… You are the best husband and partner!
‘You make life so much sweeter and marriage so much fun. Today is a day about celebrating our love but really I wanna celebrate you and the husband you are.

Later, Marissa said on social media that they had a date night indoors because of bad weather
‘It’s you + me forever. My best friend..! Here’s to 80 more,’ she added.
She also later posted an image on her Instagram story of the couple relaxing indoors, saying: ‘Anniversary date night but make it cozy cos of rain’.
The couple have been together since high school and they wed in April 2021, just days before Lawrence was drafted by the Jags.
Lawrence has been enjoying the offseason and taking some time to rest and recover following his 2022 exploits with the Jaguars.
He led them to the divisional round of the playoffs, where they were beaten 27-20 by eventual Super Bowl winners, Kansas City Chiefs.
Prior to that, Lawrence was a central character in one of the most dramatic games of the entire NFL season.
He rallied the Jaguars from 27 points down against the Chargers to seal a sensational final minute 31-30 victory.
‘For myself, obviously yeah, definitely the worst half of my football life, of a lot of people’s football life, too,’ Lawrence said of how the game started.

‘I felt like I was seeing it all right and I just needed to settle in. We didn’t get any momentum going, couldn’t get a drive going.
‘I knew once we could get the ball and get rolling for that first score like we did at the end of the half — once we kind of got that and got the momentum back, we’ve been in that situation before, not that many points but similar situations.
‘That’s the thing, just the belief in this team. It’s kind of – it’s really cool to see what can happen when everybody believes.’
