Joel Banbury Arrested For Luring Volleyball Girls – DDSB High School Teacher Crime Explored

Joel Banbury, a high school teacher, has been arrested for luring volleyball girls in 2016.

Four years after the incident happened, this matter came into the public and thus stopped Joel from making such kinds of sexual advancements from happening again. The police authorities ultimately got their hands on this man after investigations by the Child Exploitation Unit started beginning in February 2022.

The investigation took place after the Child Exploitation Unit received information about the online luring of youth from Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. And, they finally found a suspect, who turned out to be a teacher working at Coronation Public School in Oshawa, Joel.

Prior to working at Coronation Public School, Joel served as a teacher at David Bouchard Public School in Oshawa. And, he was also a volleyball coach at a Durham volleyball club, teaching this sport to the females.

Joel of Scugog has been arrested following the charges of Luring to Facilitate the Commission of Sexual Assault and Luring to Facilitate the Commission of Sexual Interference. And, he was held for a bail hearing.

With this other parents have also poured out about their children’s experience via social media noting how their daughters kept on telling that they did not want to go to the school gym, monitored by Joel as they were uncomfortable. And, their daughter already had their suspicions on Joel.

Joel Banbury has no Wikipedia presence as he is not a public figure but just an ordinary teacher.

Joel Banbury is aged 44 years old and has been working in the teaching sector for long period. Besides teaching the seventh and eighth graders students, he has also served as a basketball, volleyball, and gym coach.

As mentioned in The Star, the DDSB (Durham District School Board) told that Joel Banbury was serving as an acting vice-principal at Coronation Public School in Oshawa at the time of his arrest. And, it is also found that he moved into that role in January 2022.
