Kanye West And Trevor Noah Controversy: What Happened Between Them?

“Koon Baya” is a racist term that is used to describe a black person who doesn’t like black people.

According to Urban Dictionary, Koon Baya means, “a word used to define a black individual who is anti-black and often acts against the black community.” The site also defines it as “the disparaging term used to refer to a black individual or any person of African descent.”

Hence, one can make a calculation on why the term is deemed racist and why the controversy is becoming more of an issue every passing minute.

Kanye West and Trevor Noah are among a newly born social media controversy that has left the Entertainment industry trailing.

It started when Noah talked about Kanye’s and Kim’s divorce in The Daily Show. The comedian blamed the rapper for abusing his ex-wife and made a conclusion as to how even powerful women are abused by men.

But West didn’t like the comments any bit. He took it to social media and uploaded a screenshot of Trevor Noah, captioning “Koon Baya My Lord, Koon Baya.” It is a reference from the famous Kumbaya song.

The controversy has become quite popular on social media.

A lot of Twitter users are quite shocked and even proud that Kanye used the reference from the song to hit Noah back. But the manner of racism and the way it is used is being highly criticized.
