Oyo monarch Death Cause: How Did Asigangan of Igangan Die? Read to the end for details

Oba Abdul-Azeez Adewuyi, Aribiyan II, the Asigangan of Igangan land in Oyo State, died in the early hours of Tuesday.

Lateef Akorede, the Chairman of the state’s Ibarapa North local government area, announced this on his Facebook page.

“I received the tragic news of the demise of our king, Oba Abdul-Azeez Adeoye Adewuyi, Aribiyan II, Gbadewolu 1, the Asigangan of Igangan land, who died early hours of today,” the council boss wrote. This is a great loss for Ibarapa land and the Yoruba race as a whole.

“We will miss your wisdom, sir, your leadership, your love for this land, and your unwavering support for all things Ibarapa.” Indeed, you were a great king who cared deeply about his people. “May the soul of your soul rest in peace.”

This death comes just ten days after the death of another Oyo monarch, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, Soun of Ogbomoso.
