Montserrat Caballé was a popular Spanish operatic soprano singer. She is best known for working alongside Rossini, Bellini, and Donizetti.
Caballé was, however, internationally recognized for her performance of Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia at Carnegie Hall in 1965.
The singer had also collaborated once with Queen’s Freddie Mercury, for a performance in the International Olympic Committee, “Barcelona”
The singer had been facing a gallbladder problem Sadly, she died after suffering from an unknown illness in September 2018.

Montserrat Caballé was married to her husband Bernabé Martí from 1964 until the death of the soprano singer in 2018.

Both shared a huge passion for music, Martí was an active Spanish operatic tenor between 1956–and 1985, who has performed in many operas.
He was most notable for his performance with Manuel de Falla’s La Vida breve in Granada in 1958.
The tenor singer was having problems with his voice following a lung disease. In the year 1985 after he was diagnosed with a cardiac condition.
Ultimately, he died on 18th March 2022 at the age of 93 in his home in Barcelona.

Montserrat Caballé’s daugter, Montserrat Marti was born on November 15, 1972. She was 49 years old at the time of her death.
Montserrat Marti has followed in the footstep of her parents in general. She is a gifted soprano who is known by the stage name Montsita.
She has sung in various opera houses like Gran Teatre del Liceu, Palau de la Música Catalana and Teatro Real in Spain.
Her repertoire included roles in Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, and Federico García Lorca’s La casa de Bernarda Alba.

Both Montserrat Caballé’s children have grown a lot in recent years. Besides Marti, the veteran singer has a son named Bernabé Martí Jr.
Her daughter had tied the knot with businessman Carlos de Navas Mur on 14 August 2006. However, was divorced after a year.

Since 2009 Montserrat Marti has been in a relationship with businessman Daniel Faidella.
Moreover, she gave birth to Caballé’s granddaughter Daniela, in Barcelona on 3 September 2011.
Meanwhile, Caballé’s son is currently 56 years old. He has lived his life as a very private person, so it isn’t much known about him.
