He even resigned from the Labour Party after Jeremy Corbyn was elected Leader in September 2015 in protest against his antisemitism.

He graduated from King’s College, University of Cambridge, with a BA in 2006, an MPhil in 2007, and a PhD in 2011.

In the autumn of 2012, he enrolled at Northumbria University. He came to the University as a Senior Lecturer in the Humanities department and quickly became popular with the students.
