Johnny Depp is still enjoying the single life despite setting off rumors that he has been dating a mystery woman as he works on his new film project and continues his musical tour in Europe, DailyMail.com can reveal.
The actor, 59, set tongues wagging in recent weeks that he might be off the market after he was seen hanging out with the stunning red-head as he moves on from his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.
Depp, who has been on tour with British musician Jeff Beck since late May, was spotted arriving at a concert venue in Italy over the weekend with her by his side.
But DailyMail.com can reveal the woman is Depp’s new French tutor, Mathilde Beltran, and that their relationship is ‘strictly professional.’
‘She is his French teacher and there is no romantic connection whatsoever,’ a source close to the star confirmed.

Beltran, an assistant director and producer based in Paris, has been spotted alongside Depp as he tours Europe with UK musician Jeff Beck
Beltran, an assistant director and producer based in Paris, is said to be helping Depp perfect his French for his role as King Louis XV in upcoming film, Jeanne du Barry, his first film since his dramatic court victory.
The two were most recently spotted together on Monday while arriving at Gardone Riviera for a performance at the Vittoriale.
And just one day earlier, the pair were seen at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia, where he also played a set with Beck.
Beltran has worked as a ‘first assistant director’ on a number of sets for several short French films, according to IMDb.
It is unclear if she’ll have a directorial or production role on the Depp’s new movie, in addition to being his French teacher.
The film, which is expected to be released in 2023, tells the true story of a seamstress’ daughter who went on to become the final mistress of King Louis XV in the 18th century.
Depp will play Louis, alongside Maiwenn Le Besco, who will both direct the film and play the main character, Jeanne du Barry, the king’s mistress.
The role marks Depp’s return to the silver screen in years after much of Hollywood reportedly blacklisted him following domestic violence accusations from Heard.
On Monday, the actor appeared to be in high spirits as he arrived at the venue with his crew, wearing a slouchy grey T-shirt, beige belted cargo pants, and a black-and-white polka dot bandana.

He sported his signature clustering of jewelry, including a hefty collection of layered necklaces and stacked bracelets and wristbands.
Depp wore his highlighted long hair down, finishing the look off with bright green Keds.
The star flaunted his impressive arm tattoos as he walked around sound equipment ahead of the gig.
Another snap saw him with his tresses collected in a ponytail as he threw on an oversized dark jacket.
Beltran was seen trailing not too far behind the actor. She dressed casually in a red T-shirt, jeans, and white sneakers and let her red locks loose.
The previous day, the two further fueled rumors of a potential romance as they were seen smiling and laughing between each other as they arrived for rehearsal.
A smiling Beltran was seen walking behind Depp and showed off her long legs in a pair of denim shorts and a green T-shirt.
At one point, Depp was seen stepping out of his vehicle and helping his French tutor with her bag.
The actor rehearsed for the performance before returning to the Brufani hotel in Perugia, where Beltran is also reported to be staying.
She was also seen carrying a backpack over her shoulder as she followed the actor into the venue.
The film will be directed by Maiwenn Le Besco, who will also star opposite Depp in the movie

Last month, following his victory in his defamation trial against Heard, Johnny confirmed he has teamed up with the legendary guitarist to record a 13-track collection.
The project, titled 18, includes two new Johnny originals and an eclectic mix of cover songs ranging from such iconic artists as the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye and John Lennon to alternative rockers such as Killing Joke and The Velvet Underground.
‘When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity.
‘We would joke about how we felt 18 again so that just became the album title too,’ Jeff, 77, said in a statement about the album, as reported by Billboard.
In keeping with their fond teenage memories that were sparked by the music, the two artists decided to use an illustration of themselves as 18-year-olds, drawn by Beck’s wife Sandra, for the album cover.
For Johnny, who grew up listening to Jeff’s music, the collaboration is something of a dream come true.
‘It’s an extraordinary honor to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged enough to call my brother,’ Johnny added in their statement.
The duo first met in 2016, and quickly bonded over conversations about guitars and cars, all while trying to make each other laugh.
Seeing Johnny’s musical talent up-close and sensing their chemistry was undeniable, it was Jeff who suggested they record songs that would eventually make up ’18’.

Exes: Lawyers representing Heard — whom Depp was married to from 2015 until 2017 — filed a motion earlier this month on the grounds that the verdict that she had defamed Depp was not supported by evidence; seen in 2014
The Beck-Depp album ’18’ will be released digitally and on CD on July 15, and then be followed up by a vinyl edition on September 30.
Depp certainly has much to smile about these days, after a judge has denied all of Heard’s motion to have the verdict of her blockbuster defamation trial against him thrown out and the case re-tried.
Lawyers representing Heard – whom Depp was married to from 2015 until 2017 – filed a motion earlier this month on the grounds that the verdict that she had defamed Depp was not supported by evidence.
They also alleged that a juror had not been properly vetted and questioned whether that juror was even supposed to be allowed on the jury.
Court documents obtained by DailyMail.com show that Judge Penny Azcarate denied all of Heard’s post-trial requests on Wednesday.
Both celebrities were found to have defamed each other in the June verdict, but the cards fell considerably in Depp’s favor.
He was awarded $10.35million in damages from Heard, while she was awarded just $2million in damages from Depp. All told, Heard was left owing Depp a whopping $8.35million.
