A sun-seeking 24 year old had her holiday fun cut short just hours into her trip after breaking her nose while trying to leapfrog a bin.
Chelsea Herbert, from Reading had travelled with her friends to Magaluf for the summer but ended up spending most of her time poolside with two black eyes.
The group had only been on Spanish soil for three hours when an alcohol fueled feat of athleticism ended badly.
Inspired by her cousin, whose acrobatic skills were set to be left unrivaled that night, Chelsea launches herself at the bin.
Rather than managing to clear it in one she lands squarely on the top of it before wobbling forward.
Her excess momentum carries her forward and with a sickening crunch, Chelsea slams face first into the concrete pavement.

As Chelsea begins leaping the bin it quickly becomes apparent she may have bitten off more than she can chew

The fall left Chelsea with a broken nose that needed a stitch to hold it together. Since it healed she can only breathe through one side of her nose
Her friends, who had previously cheered her on are shocked into silence as the seriousness of the situation is immediately apparent.
After getting herself stitched up, Chelsea managed to enjoy the rest of her holiday.
Chelsea said: ‘I’m 24 and I should know better, but these things happen. I won’t be jumping any bins again.’
‘We had just arrived. We’d been there about three hours and consumed quite a bit of alcohol. My nephew is 18 and he went over first. He flew over it and is very athletic.’

‘I, for some reason, thought that I could be athletic too, and I wasn’t at all.’
‘We were in Magaluf for a week. I did that on the first night, so by day four I had two massive black eyes.’
‘We were all-inclusive and I was around the pool and this woman came up to me and asked if I’d had a nose job. I had to explain I’d jumped a bin and it didn’t go well.’
Chelsea intends to have her nose re-broken and set properly as she can now only breathe through one side of her nose.
