The police released an official statement on Wednesday regarding the recent update on the case. North is soon to be [resented on the court for the legal proceedings of the case.
The recent news has made the Soulemane family happy as they are hopeful of getting justice for the merciless killing of Mubarak.
In the disturbing altercation, Mubarak held a knife in his hands while North fired his handgun seven times through the driver’s door window.
A video footage of the incident night has gone viral on several social media platforms. Soulemane had carjacked a vehicle in Norwalk on Jan. 15, 2020, leading troopers to a chase on Interstate 95 into West Haven.
Officials also say that Soulemane had struck two state police cruisers and a civilian’s vehicle before troopers stopped his vehicle by boxing it in.
Brian North Trial And Sentence Details For Killing
Brian North’s upcoming trial dates and sentence details are yet to be released.
The CT officials have revealed that North is placed on paid administrative leave, and his police powers are suspended at the time.
