Ben Tonra is a professor at University College Dublin which is a Dublin-based public research university. He was a UCD international relations professor who resigned from the University via Twitter post.

Prof Tonra also issued a Twitter statement. According to the university, he does not represent the same perspectives that underpin UCD’s global engagement approach.

He previously chaired the Academy’s International Affairs Standing Committee. He has also worked at the University of Wales’ Department of International Politics, Trinity College, and CSIS.
