Trisha Paddock of Palos Verdes is identified as the woman who died after collapsing at the Los Angeles Marathon finish line.

LA Marathon: Who Was Trisha Paddock From Palos Verdes?

Trisha Paddock, from Palos Verdes, was a LA marathon runner who died at the hospital after collapsing at the finish line. According to MSN, she was running the 13.1-mile charity program in the Los Angeles Marathon on Sunday.

According to the organizers, she could not complete the entire race route. Paddock was part of a charity squad raising donations for the Asian American Drug Abuse Program.

“This is a heartbreaking loss, and our thoughts are with her family and loved ones,” race organizers said in a statement. “We would like to express our gratitude and admiration to all of the first responders, paramedics, and medical personnel who arrived on the scene in a timely manner.”

Paddock’s age was given as 46 in the marathon results, but the Fire Department gave him as 44. It was not known when she died. It is unknown if she has any other diseases or if she has had a previous mini-stroke.

Hers was the first death linked to the marathon since 2007, when a 50-year-old man died while participating in the L.A. Bike Tour. According to the Fire Department, he died after going into what appeared to be cardiac arrest.

According to LA Times, she suffered a heart attack and took her last breath in a hospital on Tuesday. People are sharing obituary news for the deceased runner and are paying their respect to her.

She slumped at the finish line, complaining of a medical problem that proceeded to an observable cardiac arrest.”

More than a dozen employees, including the LAFD’s Bicycle Medic Team, offered medical assistance to Paddock before she was brought to a hospital.

Unfortunately, she could not survive the arrest and leave behind his beloved husband and three children.

She will be remembered in the prayers of everyone who knew her. May her soul rest in peace.

Go Fund Me Support  For Trisha Paddock Family

On Sunday, a GoFundMe page was launched to assist Paddock’s family with medical bills. It had raised more than $43,000 as of Tuesday, exceeding its $40,000 goal.

Dan Combs is the organizer of the fund who organized the fundraiser programmer to assist the Paddocks family in bill sharing.

Following the immense support and gratitude from the netizens, he shared his thank you message to all. He wrote, “We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their wonderful gifts.”

“Ryan expressed his discomfort at being on the receiving end of such kindness. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support for his family.”

“Thank you also to Cindy Lasky, who organized the lunch train, and to everyone who signed up.”
