In 2020, Ryan took part in the ‘Battle of the Brits’ tournament at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic and performed efficiently, losing only on last-set tie-breaks against top-50 players, including Dan Evans and Cameron Norrie.

During 2021: ATP doubles debut, Ryan won the Heraklion leg of the 2021 ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour, which happened from April to June on May 30, 2021, acknowledging only three games to Yuta Shimizu in winning the last in straight sets and only dropping one set in the overall tournament.

What Kind Of Cancer Illness Does Ryan Peniston Have?

Ryan Peniston had rhabdomyosarcoma as a child, who is a soft tissue cancer found in children. He fought the Battle bravely and survived cancer.

The tennis player had to remove a tumor through surgery by chemotherapy. Until he was 16 years old, cancer had slowed his growth, making him much smaller than his classmates.

The 26-year-old told about how difficult the period was for him when he had cancer, but he didn’t remember much as he was very young at the time. It was only now in the past ten years he was interested and asked his parents to tell him more about his case.

But his parents didn’t want to talk about that time in their life as it was hard for them, but he said it gave him lots of strength when he looked back. He said he thinks other families are going through this now and then, but if they see any glimpse of hope that is possible, that will be great for them.

The tennis player was declared cancer-free a year after getting the treatment. Though he does not remember much about the difficult times now, he feels it has hugely shaped him into a person. He has become now.

Ryan said it has hugely changed his perspective on life as when he is having a tough day about something or annoyed about something little, and he reminds himself that he might not have been here 25 years ago and when he thinks of that stuff, it makes him relax and move on.
