Davidson is a well-known comedian, writer, and actor from the United States. He is best known for his eight successful seasons as a cast member of the NBC late-night sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live (SNL) (2014-2022).

Big Time Adolescence star Pete Davidson is quite open about his mental health disorder. It was in 2017 when American comedian Pete was shocked to know that he was diagnosed with a borderline personality disorder.

In a conversation with King of Staten Island star Pete for Variety’s Actors on Actors TV series, Glenn Close brought up the subject of mental illness when speaking about her 2020 film, “Hillbilly Elegy”.

The actor said, “I got diagnosed with BPD a few years ago, and I was always just so confused all the time. It just feels like something is wrong, and I had no idea how to deal with it.”

He added, “When somebody finally tells you, the heavy weight of the words field lifted off your shoulder with instant relief. You feel so much better.” Pete has been undergoing many treatments since being diagnosed with the disorder.

 

Pete Davidson Diagnosed With Borderline Personality Disorder

In 2017, Pete Davidson was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, a mental health disorder that impacts the way of thinking and feeling about yourself and others, causing trouble functioning in everyday life.

When Davidson was at age 17 or 18, he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, for which he receives intravenous treatment, and further uses medical marijuana for pain management and recreationally.

On March 6, 2017, the comedian took to his Instagram and announced that he has quit drugs and he was sober for the first time in eight years. In an interview on comedian Marc Maron’s podcast, he further admitted that the only drug he used was marijuana.

He discovered that the personal and emotional problems he initially assumed were the outcome of his daily use of marijuana were actually caused by his newly diagnosed mental disorder.

Pete Davidson Health Update In 2022

Since being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, Pete Davidson is been undergoing necessary treatment. The comedian appears to be doing great with his health and enjoying himself along with his close one currently.

Just last week, Davidson was spotted spending time with 6 years old Saint Kardashian-West, son of Kim Kardashian. They went shopping and had some Cheesecake Factory.

Back in December 2018, Davidson shared an Instagram post in which he expressed thoughts of suicide and deleted his account on social media platforms entirely.

In response to social media posts from fans and former fiance Ariana Grand,e the NY Police Department conducted a wellness check on the comedian.

Pete Davidson joined Saturday Night Live in 2014 and nearly after a decade on the show, the actor announced that the May 21, 2022 episode of the comedy show would be his last.
