The YouTube podcast host whose sexist message was reposted by a Washington Post reporter, sparking a Twitter storm that included two other newsroom journalists, has vowed to continue delivering stupid jokes and harassing Karens.

On Wednesday, Cam Harless, co-host of the podcast called The Mad Ones, commented in the Spectator that he doesn’t feel Washington Post political reporter David Weigel should be penalized for retweeting his joke on the first day of Pride Month.

Felicia Sonmez, a reporter for the Washington Post, slammed her paper when one of her coworkers retweeted a tweet denigrating women.

“Every girl is bi,” Cam Harless wrote on a Twitter post. “You just have to figure out if it’s polar or sexual.”

When reporter David Weigel retweeted Cam’s tweet, the situation turned heated.

Washington Post reporter Felicia Sonmez expressed her disappointment when she learned about the retweet by colleague reporter David Weigel.

Following the controversy, Weigel later apologized and removed the retweet from his Twitter profile.

“It’s weird to see someone else apologize for something you tweeted,” Harless, the original author of the tweet, wrote in response to Weigel’s apology, calling it “grim af.”

Cam Harless, the YouTube podcaster who made the “sexist” remark, sparked a significant debate in the Washington Post.

After David Weigel’s retweet, the topic has become a hot issue in recent times. Following the issue, he was reportedly suspended from the paper for one month without pay.

“Editors have made clear to the staff that the tweet was reprehensible and demanding language or actions like that will not be tolerated,” Washington Post Chief Communications Officer Kris Coratti reported.

Making a formal apology, Weigel wrote, “I just removed a retweet of an offensive joke. I apologize and did not mean to cause any harm.”

Another Post reporter, Jose Del Real, chastised Sonmez for not treating the situation quietly.

After a Twitter spat between Sonmez and Del Real over the weekend, Post executive editor Sally Buzbee sent a note to staffers urging that they “treat each other with respect and kindness.”
