“Why aren’t we doing more?” Austin inquired of Dominic Raab. as he wanted to know if a 75-year-old woman could visit her son in Britain.
The Russian strike on the capital could be heard clearly between the interviews.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister responded, “I can’t comment on every potential hypothetical case.”
He continued saying: “Of course, we understand the difficulties of the practical situation on the ground. That’s common to most conflict zones.”
“We will work with all of our international partners and the UN to try to resolve this and ensure that we continue this tradition of providing safe haven to those fleeing persecution.”
