Andrew Charlton is an economist who previously served as an economic adviser to Labor Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. The Labour Party’s potential candidacy for the federal seat of Parramatta in western Sydney has enraged local branches and multicultural communities.

His potential candidacy was proposed by the opposition leader, Anthony Albanese, and is currently being reviewed and considered by the party’s state executive.

Andrew Charlton is currently working as the managing director of Accenture Australia, and he is yet to have his own Wikipedia page. He started to work for Accenture Australia in 2020.

Andrew began working as an Adjunct Professor at Macquarie University in March 2021 and has continued to do so to this day. He is also the co-director of the e61 Institute, a nonpartisan, non-profit economic research institute.

He founded AlphaBeta and served as its director from 2015 to 2020. Since 2020, he has also served on CEDA’s Council of Economic Policy (CCEP) in Sydney, New South Wales.

Along with Andrew, potential candidates include union lawyer Abha Devasia and Parramatta branch vice-president Alan Mascarenhas.
