Champs was photographed scaling the Devon Tower, a 50-story structure in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City.

Maison Des Champs climbed the Devon Tower in Oklahoma City to protest abortion rights but was eventually arrested by first responders and police.
Champs live-streamed the stunt on his Instagram account, where he refers to himself as a “pro-life Spiderman” and the protester.
He clarified not to be confused with the copyright-protected Marvel Comics character Spider-Man and verified that the climb was in protest of abortion rights.
Des Champs has gained a following on social media by performing climbing exploits similar to the one in Oklahoma City.
According to WKRN.com, he previously climbed the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco and the New York Times Building in Manhattan.
“We know a person ascending the Devon Tower in the city. Please avoid the area; our officers have closed nearby roadways as a precaution,” the Oklahoma City Police Department warned during the incident.
The structure is Oklahoma’s highest, and gusts near the top were expected to be between 35 and 40 miles per hour (64kph).
Previous protest climbs by the “pro-life Spiderman” have appeared to favor right-wing causes.

To get to the summit, the man free soloed the 50-story structure using chalk, his hands, and his feet. He has not seen securing himself using ropes, harnesses, and other gear.
When Maison Des arrived at the top of the tower, he was apprehended by police. Trespassing and disorderly behavior charges will likely be filed against Maison Des Champs.
He claims to have climbed the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas in 2021 to protest the state’s Covid-19 regulations on his website. According to his website, prolifespiderman.com, Maison was born in Michigan.
Furthermore, it reads, ” Maison Des Champs is my name. Hartland, Michigan, is where I was born and raised. My father used to take me “Up North” to go hunting and fishing when I was a kid. I instantly became enamored with the outdoors. I went to Santa Clarita, California, when I was 16 and began rock climbing.”
