On Saturday about 5:45 p.m., a person shopping at the Walgreens reported hearing a woman screaming.
She said she heard stalls slamming as well, but she left confused about what she had heard.
When she drove by later and saw patrol police, she stopped to tell them about what she’d heard, she added.
Johnson was later arrested by Colorado State Troopers while wandering along I-25 near Trinidad.
Johnson admitted that he formerly had a crush on Whitelaw but that he no longer has feelings for her since he has gotten “intimate” with Crystal Ishmael.
According to the arrest statement, Ishmael the store manager had not reported their relationship to officers.

Riley Whitelaw’s body was discovered in the Walgreens break room, with neck injuries and blood all over the floor. Whitelaw’s body was found by the store manager.
According to investigators, the manager checked security video and saw an employee, Joshua Johnson, stack bins in front of the surveillance camera, blocking the view.

Riley allegedly requested a change schedule to avoid working beside Johnson since he had shown signs of jealousy when Riley’s boyfriend began working at the same Walgreens.
Johnson allegedly made moves toward Whitelaw, making her feel uncomfortable, according to Whitelaw’s complaint to store supervisors.
Johnson was apprehended, taken back to Colorado Springs, and imprisoned without bond into the El Paso County Jail.
