Who Is Harvey Marcelin And Where Is He Now? Transgender Serial Killer Arrested For Killing 3 Girlfriends

Marcelin spent the majority of her life in prison for the murders of two ex-girlfriends. She is being investigated once more in connection with the murder of another woman, whose dissected body was discovered in Brooklyn last week.

Susan Layden, 68, was discovered dead inside a deserted shopping cart at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Atlantic avenues. Harvey’s apartment was less than a block away when the discovery was made.

Harvey Marcelin is the transgender serial killer who got charged with the concealment of a human corpse last week. She identifies as a transgender woman. 

Marcelin is not on Wikipedia, but one can read more about her bio in recent news articles. She is an octogenarian, as her current age is 83 years. She spent more than 50 years in state prison for murder and manslaughter convictions.

Jacqueline Bonds, her live-in girlfriend, was shot on April 18, 1963, in their Manhattan apartment. Harvey was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison in 1963, but she was granted lifetime parole in May 1984.

She had been released from prison for less than a year when she was arrested for fatally stabbing her other live-in girlfriend. In 1986, she was convicted of first-degree manslaughter. She was sentenced to 6 to 12 years in prison, and her parole was denied several times.

She was released from the Cayuga Correctional Facility in late 2019.

Is Transgender Serial Killer Harvey Marcelin Arrested?

Harvey Marcelin got arrested and charged with the concealment of a human corpse. She was seen in surveillance footage getting rid of human remains near her apartment. 

According to The New York Post, a search warrant got issued to execute at Harvey’s home in Cypress Hills, where they found a “human head.” The investigators also recovered electric saws, which she bought from a nearby Home Depot.

Harvey Marcelin is now held in custody at Riker’s Island without bail. She is slated to appear in Brooklyn Supreme Court on March 10, 2022.

Marcelin is not expected to appear physically in court on Thursday. The case is still being investigated, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.

Harvey’s arrest and charges went viral on the internet, and her photos were leaked on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
