According to Yahoo, after Sim passed away, the board of Creative led independent non-executive director Lee Kheng Nam as acting chairman and independent non-executive director Ng Kai Wa as acting vice-chairman for a transitional period.
Additionally, the Company’s Creative Labs Business Unit President, Song Siow Hui, has been named as the Company’s interim CEO by the board.

Sim started his career after receiving his degree. He first worked in the private engineering industry.
Additionally, Sim worked in the private engineering sector for a year after completing the required National Service.
Sim was the Company’s first chairman and CEO when he started Creative in 1981.
He once served as chair of Singapore’s Technopreneurship 21 Private Sector Committee and was regarded as a famous entrepreneur in the city-state.
Similarly, Wong Hoo popularized the term “No U-turn syndrome” in his 1999 book Chaotic Thoughts From The Old Millennium, describing the conventional Singaporean mentality of seeking approval from higher authorities before acting.
