The news was revealed by s1mple aka Oleksandr Olehovych Kostyliev while speaking with the press ahead of the tournament according to Dot Esports.
s1mple said “He did so many stupid mistakes and decisions that we told him to not do, that’s how it works. When you do a lot of mistakes, in the end, you’ll get this karma.”
NAVI had moved Boombl4 to inactive rooster back on May 28, 2022, the team cited high reputation risk as the reason for removing him from the active roster initially.
At the time, it was assumed that the choice had been made by Boombl4’s wife, who had tweeted a selfie of herself with the Russian flag painted on her face, signifying support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
However, now s1mple revealed there were various other reasons to remove him, including his several mistakes which the teammates had warned him not to do.

Boombl4’s ex-wife Angelika “LiQueen” Mikhailova revealed a video allegedly showing the pro gamer using drugs.
On June 8, however, Boombl4’s wife reportedly uploaded a video of the player consuming narcotics. She stated on Telegram that he is a drug addict and that she had divorced him.
Boombl4 said he was being blackmailed hours after the charges were published and that he will be launching libel actions soon. Boombl4 took a test to verify he was clean in the days that followed.
According to Dot Esports, Boombl4’s wife posted a video and several images of him using mephedrone on her Telegram account. The claims of the pro player using drugs were never confirmed as far as known on the internet.
