Dry fig

Dry figs are good for your body system. One ounce of dried figs has 3 grams of fiber which may help alleviate constipation. Dry fig is soluble in content and can soak up water and help soften stools.

The seeds contain a compound that helps stimulate the peristaltic movement of the intestines which helps make defecation easy and keep the alimentary canal clean.

Additionally, It helps the anus to absorb motion pressure easily and also relieve the pain and size of the hemorrhoids.

Preparation and Usage

  • Soak three or four figs in hot water (ensure you wash them well first) overnight.
  • First thing in the morning, consume the fig along with the water in which they were soaked.
  • Repeat the same process in the evening of the same day.
  • This process should continue for three(3) to four(4) weeks.

Mango seeds

Preparation and Usage

  • Mango seeds should be collected during the season
  • Dry them in the shade and grind to powdered after,
  • Store and preserve the powder for use as medicine.
  • Take about one and a half(1/2) to two (2) grams of the powder with honey, twice daily.
  • Continue treatment for about 2weeks

Piles treatment using Radish: White radish is considered highly valuable in piles; 100 mg of grated radish mixed with a teaspoon of honey may be taken twice daily in treating this condition.

Jambul fruit or jamun

Another fruit that is very effective in treating bleeding piles Jambul fruit or Jamun. Jamun helps heal wounds and improve digestion when had with salt. It helps soften stools and heal ulcers caused due to piles.

Preparation and Usage

  • Take 20 mL of jamun leaf juice
  • Add a little bit of sugar and mix properly
  • Have it three times a day to help relieve the symptoms of bleeding piles.
  • If you are not comfortable with sugar, mix with milk and take for three days.


Radish or mooli

Specifically, white radish can help relieve the symptoms of piles. Not only does it help improve digestion, but it also helps reduce inflammation caused due to piles and also fastens the healing process.

Preparation and Usage

  • Take about 100 milligrams of grated white radish
  • Mix it with a teaspoon of honey.
  • Have this mixture twice a day(Morning and Evening).
  • You could also have about 60ml to 90ml of radish juice with a pinch of salt twice a day for effective relief.

You can also try this method

  • Peel one medium-sized radish
  • Grind and extract its juice.
  • Add about 6 grams of ghee to the juice extract
  • Have first thing in the morning for a few weeks.

  • Fetch about 50 ml of this juice
  • Add watercress, spinach and carrots juice of 50 ml

Most importantly, take a proper diet of raw fruits and vegetables while taking this mixture.

Bitter gourd or karela

  • Take three teaspoons of bitter gourd leaf juice,
  • Add a glass of buttermilk and mix together properly.

  • Take the upper, thick part of karela root,
  • Grind it up and make a 50-200ml.
  • Add some sugar to this juice and mix
  • Drink once a day for effective relief.



Due to its carminative and antibacterial properties, ginger combined with lemon and mint helps relieve symptoms of piles. While ginger helps in the digesting food, lime juice and mint juice helps give the mixture an astringent and antibacterial property, which helps heal piles sores.

  • Take half a teaspoon of ginger juice,
  • Add one teaspoon of fresh lime juice and one teaspoon of fresh mint juice.
  • Mix them together and add one teaspoon of honey to it.
  • Have first thing in the morning or last thing at night for effective results.

  • Boil 20g of the seeds in 500ml of water till it reduces to one-third of its original quantity.

Preparation and Usage

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of Epsom salt with 2 tablespoons of glycerin.
  • Apply the mixture to a gauze pad and place it on the painful area.
  • Leave this application on the area for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Repeat every four to six hours until the pain eases.

To help treat and prevent hemorrhoids (Piles) it’s important to eat enough fiber (25 grams a day for women, while 38 grams a day for men).
