The investigation into Cory’s murder was initially slow. According to reports, authorities conducted hundreds of interviews but were unable to find the murderer.
On his case, every promising lead turned out to be a dead end. After several years, an unnamed witness came forward, claiming that John Perkins knew something about Cory’s death.
When the cops approached John, he didn’t think twice about telling them that his brother, Bobby, and another man named Ryan Wilmeth were the last people to see Cory.
